I'm like a firecracker I make it hot
Likes: movies, reality TV, singing, dancing, performing, sugar, coffee, animals
Dislikes: boredom, metal music, heights, drinking, being alone, being ignored, dumb people, bullies, people with no sense of humor
Dreams: to move to Hollywood and become a famous actress
Strengths/Special Abilities: naturally talented actress, good liar, well read and good with words, outgoing and friendly, energetic and enthusiastic
Weaknesses: over-dramatic, self-centered, math and science, domineering and pushy, naïve
Brief overall personality:
Lori is energetic and has a flair for the dramatic. She generally keeps to herself, often daydreaming, listening to music, or sketching. But, if approached, she's quite friendly. She likes talking to people, but is used to having acquaintances rather than close friends. She loves to laugh and have a good time, but when there's something she needs to do - homework, working, etc. - she puts her nose to the grindstone and gets it done. She works hard, she plays hard.
As a friend, Lori is fun to be around, always a good person to have handy if you need cheering up. Lori is a talented actress, and she's very good at lying and hiding her emotions when necessary. It's hard to tell when Lori is feeling overwhelmed or upset, as she often puts on a sunny disposition to hide any negative emotions she may be feeling. When she does give into her emotions, she tends to fall apart, having let things build to the point where she could no longer contain herself.

Brief history: Lorraine Elizabeth McKenna was born in Northern Ireland to a young woman named Daina Molloy. Having lost touch with Lorraine's biological father, Thomas, and living a hard life herself, Daina gave her daughter up for adoption. Lorraine ended up in the United States with Rose and Ben McKenna. The couple had been trying for years to conceive a child only to be met with failure and disappointment. They were thrilled to have Lorraine and she had a wonderful childhood, wanting for nothing. The family lived in Pasadena, California. Ben was a lawyer and Rose was a history professor.
Lori was a performer from a young age, always dancing on the coffee table and singing into her hairbrush. This made her a bit of a handful at times, a ball of energy and always needing to be the center of attention. She was a social child, enjoying playing with other children. However, she liked to dress strangely - one red shoe, one black shoe, pokadotted tights, costume jewelry, whatever she felt like wearing. When Lori started school, this kind of thing made her a prime target for bullies, particularly other girls. Elementary and middle school weren't great for Lori, socially. She spent most of her time watching movies, reading books, drawing, and day-dreaming. Focusing on her studies made her a very good student.
It wasn't until high school that things began to change. Lori joined the drama club her freshman year and made friends with a lot of like-minded individuals - people who didn't mind her odd fashion sense and shared her flare for the dramatic and love of all things film and theater. She found her niche, performing in plays and being creative. Her parents were glad to see her making friends and becoming more social. However, when Lori decided she wanted to attend a private performing arts high school and start working toward an acting career, they saw it as impractical. They insisted she finish high school and attend college for something "less flighty." This triggered a period of rebellion for Lori, who began attending parties and drinking, getting into trouble. Her grades started slipping and her friends became concerned. It wasn't until it came time for her to get her driver's license that she reigned it in. Her parents wouldn't allow her to drive until she proved she was responsible enough to handle it. So, she buckled down, brought her grades up, and stopped the partying.
Lori is about to graduate from high school and she's waiting to hear back from several colleges she's applied to. However, she's not sure she wants to go to college. She'd like to move to Los Angeles and try to start an acting career, but she knows that wouldn't go over well with her parents. Currently, she's looking for a summer job to make some money.

All Lori could hear was the sound of pens and pencils on paper. She sat back in her chair with her arms folded across her chest, her final exam booklet closed on the desk in front of her. Looking around, she saw all the other kids diligently working, deep in thought as they wrote. There had been four essay questions and lots of writing. Lori's fingers were stiff and achy. She cracked her knuckles. The sound was loud enough to turn a few heads. Lori sunk down in her chair and set her hands in her lap.
Why couldn’t she just hand the thing in when she was done? Having to just sit there doing nothing waiting for class to end was just torture. She could draw something, at least, if she could dig out her sketch book. With a sigh, she flipped her booklet over and started doodling on the back of it with her pen. It started out as a small little doodle of a flower. By the time Mr. Sheehan came around to collect their exams, the entire back cover of her little blue booklet was covered in vines, flowers, and symbols. Mr. Sheehan cleared his throat when he got to her desk. Lori looked up at him, then down at the masterpiece that was her exam booklet. She smiled apologetically and handed him the booklet and exam packet. He examined the doodling and looked down at her over his glasses.
"You know there's no extra credit for creative drawings."
Lori got the impression it was supposed to be a joke, but she couldn't be shore. Mr. Sheehan wasn't exactly the joking type.
"Yeah. Well, it was worth a shot," she said.
He moved along and Lori capped her pen, shoving it into her messenger bag as she waited for the bell to ring.
