Strengths/Special Abilities:
Weaknesses:
Brief overall personality: Devon is overall a pretty happy girl. Sure, there is a major tragedy in her past, and she has had to endure some pretty tough times, but she tries her best to look at the positive side of things, at least whenever there is a positive side. This doesn't mean that she's cheerful all the time. She sheds plenty of tears and has her bad days, that's for sure. Sometimes she gets impatient and loses her temper. But she does usually try her best to keep optimistic. Mind over matter and all that.
She likes to think that she's pretty easy to get along with. Devon tries to be kind, genuine and generous with others. If you need a shoulder to cry on or an ear to vent to, hers are probably available. But don't think that you can walk all over her because she will not be taken advantage of. Devon has no problem whatsoever speaking up if she feels she or someone else is being treated unkindly or unfairly.

Brief history: Back home in Ireland, Devon grew up an awkward, freckle-faced little ginger girl with a big personality. She had a great home life with a loving family and things were pretty average, run-of-the-mill normal. Then last Summer the Connelly family decided to take a vacation to the US... Hollywood, to be exact. It was there that 16-year-old Devon met a handsome boy her age... a Roma gypsy by the name of Luca who was the son of a woman who claimed to be a local 'fortune teller'.
The two of them hit it off quite well, and in the ten days her family was in the states, she spent as much time talking to and hanging out with him as she could. On their last day of vacation, Devon convinced her mother to get a tarot reading from Luca's mother... just for fun she claimed but it was really an excuse to see him one last time before heading back to Europe. It was during the reading that Luca's mother claimed they were in imminent danger, but Rebecca Connelly just brushed it off, paying the woman the fee she owed. They said their goodbyes and later that day the Connellys headed to the airport and boarded the plane for home.
Devon still doesn't remember the crash itself. She had fallen asleep on the plane almost immediately after take off, after arguing a little with her sister about who would get to sit by the window. When she woke up there was nothing around her but charred, smoking wreckage. The plane had gone down and as she looked around at the lifeless bodies of her family and the other passengers and crew, it became clear that there were no survivors.
What was even more strange, however, was that Devon was covered in blood but otherwise unharmed. Her leg had painfully broken nearly in half but as she moved to set it right, it mended together like magic until it was fully healed. Needless to say, she was freaked out... scared beyond belief. She was confused, grieving, and alone.
She came to realize that the plane had crashed not long after taking off. She was still in LA, so she sought out the one person she knew to turn to. Devon walked and hitch-hiked her way back to Luca. He and his family took her in for a while, giving her a place to stay, and the two teens grew even closer as their friendship and trust in one another continued to grow. But after a couple of weeks, Luca's mother felt that he was becoming distracted and started insisting that Devon leave. This turned out to be the opportunity that he had been looking for. He had been wanting to get away from the life he was being forced to lead for a while now, and now he felt like he had a good reason to go. The two of them left together and started living on the streets and in cheap motels, paid for by the cash and credit cards lifted from the wallets of the victims of Luca's telekinesis.
It was a few months ago, early Spring, when they came across the carnival, meeting Micah, Aria and several other of the crew there. Eventually their unique abilities were revealed and they were welcomed with open arms into their new family.

He couldn't help but smile as he watched Aria's interactions with the little boy. She had such an easy-going way about her and he was definitely grateful that she was there. While Micah's solution to the issue with the asshole and the innocent kid would have been to beat the shit out of the father (and yes, he realized this accomplished nothing but it was what his brain was telling him to do), she instead just decided to give the boy a chance to play, which is what he wanted in the first place.
“Hey there, boss man.”
Quickly he dropped the cigarette and stomped it out with the toe of his boot, digging a piece of peppermint gum out of his pocket, unwrapping it and popping it into his mouth. "Hey beautiful," he smiled, lazily slipping an arm around her waist and pulling her to him, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek. He didn't want to gross her out by kissing her with cigarette breath. Big turn-on that was.
Micah kept his arm around Aria and watched the little boy at the ring toss, a big smile coming to his face as the little guy made score after score while the dad kept coming up short or overshooting. Of course, the carnies all knew that telekinesis played a major part in that, and it made him proud the way his staff all knew the importance of making the children feel like this was their world... because it was. Unfortunately, the dad was getting pissed off and started complaining and shouting about the game being rigged. Micah's eyes narrowed as he watched. For now, the guy running the booth was handling it by trying to calm him down, but he was on alert because the man seemed like he might have a temper. Micah couldn't help shifting his gaze to the little boy, who was eyeing his father with wide eyes. He wondered if there were any hidden signs of abuse behind his jeans and nylon jacket.
"I swear, if that asshole hurts that kid..." he muttered under his breath, loud enough only for her to hear.
